The Flies-Boy

I always used to go to a tea shop at dawa bazaar with my friends during my job days, with my colleagues, to have a cup of tea/coffee, to have some fun, and to regain our gradually declining energy, after an extreme physical labor in our marketing job. Usually tea had been our preference along with any sort of fast-food, and it’s because majority of us belonged to some other place nearby this beautiful town and all the time we had to consume our meal from some hotel/mace/restaurants. I was new in the job then. During our so called tea-break one day when we colleagues drowning-in tea, my attention went on a kid aged between 7-9years, the boy had a book in his hands, covered only with his inners, sweat was running through his head which makes him stinky, and flies were revolving around him, sometimes they sit on his lips and other’s on his cheeks, and his retaliation was none, possibly he had been used to by then. He worked at the tea stall as a server, many of the times on complaint of the customers he had been beaten up by his owner too, and on that we the prestigious employees of the very prestigious firms poked fun. I saw him crying for hours sitting near gent’s toilet, where the ambience filled with unbearable urinated smell. He was not only one there but many other faces I saw – they love to fight, bad mouthed each other, to serve (since that provide them bread and butter), and off course to love, but the one on whom my eyes got transfixed was that ‘flies-boy’. He was the best there, whatever assignment he got he used to finish it earliest, and after that he took his books out and started studying. During those days, for a while he didn’t come to the shop, I asked to the owner one day about him and the reply created me bit uneasy. He had been suffered from jaundice, I took leave for the day and went to see him, by looking into his eyes my eyes started floating, with a bit restraint me and one of his friend taken him to a doctor. The doctor suggested us to admit him, we admitted him in a hospital in the close scrutiny of a physician; and within the period of a week he got well. One of those days of treatment I had asked him – “What books do you read?” and he simply answer me – “Social-Science” and I asked “Why?” “Because I want to be a social worker”, smilingly he replied to me. After this incident for so many days I couldn’t slept, and my performance on my job front started declining gradually. One day when my boss asked about the issue I briefed him and asked him to help me so that I could help the underprivileged ones but he simply laughed and said – “First feed yourself properly then think about other’s”, the same reply I got from the colleagues too. After a while I left my job and started working for the underprivileged ones, in terms of remuneration I am not getting anything but think I am a most satisfied man on this earth now. I am not telling you to help me but if you are planning for a developed nation without considering the underprivileged one’s then how would it be possible? Think Please...

Where shall they go?

Is this growing Western culture stripping off the means of entertainment of our elders? Now they are not seen into the gardens, nor into the cinema halls and not even around the sea-shores and the mesmerizing lakes. Where these peoples are? Have they short of their magical blessings or our requirement has been fulfilled? Some says that the species have been extinct, and the apparent reason behind this is our independency. We now could be the richest among the ‘ACES’ in terms of monetary with the simplest idea we had in our encephalon, and the unique one too. With that power come in our lap, parents doesn’t stop us to watch worthless, to come late fully drunk, and to insult them even. We since are satisfying them for their basic need – Roti, Kapda aur Makaan.

They if come out for shopping then they have to face a couple in the corner, kissing each other with intense passion shamelessly, they have to listen vulgar remarks about each other’s opposite ones. They can’t take bittoo with them now, to prevent him to encounter maladies. They don’t have access to their favorite ‘Panwala’ owing not to hurt their dignity and self respect. With almost impaired lungs their endurance towards passive smoking has completely been lost. They are no more left with the powers even, so that they can guide, scold or shout, aware very much with the fact that ‘their’ mind occupied with the single phrase and that is – tit for tat.

To remain healthy how could they now go into the gardens which are pre-occupied by us? On every nooks and corners they find a couple smooching, hugging without considering the social presence around them. Sometimes they have to close their eyes, sometimes their grandchildren’s and in extreme cases they have to cancel their programs and have to go back to their home.

If for an instance seen into the theaters too, owing to the unstoppable comments on ‘Munni ke thumke’ they have to leave the movie in between. With our exceptional acceptance the filmmakers even are creating the worst which perverts our culture. Why doesn’t we people take good from anything? Every country has its unique culture and meanwhile its advantages and disadvantages. Why right stuffs are difficult to inculcate. Apart from hugs and kisses they endorse many fruitful things too; there is a need to take that. Good movies comes from western countries too their just need is to broaden our vision across this parochialism. And maintenance of culture and its discipline is must so that one who creates us could move freely anywhere without any shame and hesitation.
